last night we did the music and worked with urbi et orbi on the visuals for the supertrash fall winter 2011 presentation at the gashouder during amsterdam fashion week. about 2500 people attended the spectacle which featured 4 giant screens with movie stars like marlene dietrich, mae west and even betty boop, who’s singing voices were synced over our sound score. we mixed 20’s and 30’s charleston and energetic early jazz with modern songs by the likes of florrie and the ting tings and added ticking clocks as extra rhythms and science fiction sound effects to emphasize the time travel aspect of the collection. the show was most probably the biggest show ever done at amsterdam fashion week, and it was a blast. well done supertrash!
