AMSTERDAM FASHIONWEEK FALL/WINTER 2015we delivered the sound score for the supertrash fall winter 2015 show called modern pioneers, which was held in a delft blue porcelain tiled tunnel underneath amsterdam central station. olcay gulsen’s supertrash is a big success story, her shows were getting bigger and bigger by the year. this season was different, only a few hundred people were invited to this exclusive presentation produced by hadimassa brand support.

the sound score had to be different too: more held back, more repetitive, no big bang… smooth, ultra modern and glamorous with a big time attitude were the key words. the seventy meter long red carpet runway was a challenge, we had to make sure the mix had enough impact to make a huge impression.

the fabulous choreographers from front row back stage and the sound and light team did a splendid job. the show kicked off with a noise that seemed to be a train. we used surround sound to give the impression an actual train past by and increased and decreased it’s tempo. the lights followed the rhythm which changed the tunnel into a time warping worm hole. it was a spectacular experience.

supertrash brought out the girls: fourty top models wore a huge amount of powerful looks and flashed by. they were wearing affordable though luxurious clothes in bright and burgundy reds, black, creamy white, camel and lots of gold accents. all were feminine and masculine at the same time: the supertrash power woman express succeeded again.

we used the sound of trains and kraftwerk’s ‘trans europe express’ throughout the show and mixed tracks by the likes of fka twigs, world end’s press, cowboy rhythmbox, róisín murphy, faze action, röyksopp and tensnake. finale was a mix of kraftwerk, boys noize and madison’s ‘superwoman’. needless to say it worked big time.
