on monday july 2nd we provided the music for the jan taminiau fall winter 2013 show during paris haute couture week.
the collection was inspired by opposite worlds not colliding but integrating, based on old photo’s of african tribal chiefs dressed in colonial and traditional garments. the result was a mind blowing collection full of color and volumes, beautifully made dresses with sometimes thousands of beads, all sown on by hand.

we used clapping music by steve reich, african chants and drums and music by kimmo pohjonen, samuli kosminen and the kronos quartet from their great uniko album. we cut everything up and created a mix which which worked magic. the mix is online!

the beautiful venue where jan showed was once the music room of one of our favorite classical composers: franz liszt, which made it extra special to us.
