AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK FW14we delivered the music for the francisco van benthum fall 2014 catwalk show at amsterdam fashion week, called con-struct.
the show was a statement about freedom and supported amnesty international’s battle against political oppression in russia.
the briefing was clear: raw, industrial and dark, with hints of hooliganism and the rich cultural history of russia (especially constructivism). some items in the show made us think of the rebellious street artist banksy.

we used piano works by stravinsky as walk-in music. the main mix built up from almost nothing to a grand wall of sound, using music by dave porter, torr vale and test department. we added dashes of the red army choir, though not too obvious. at the end of the mix we added a part which gave a little hope, thus giving this show a positive message.
