the annual elle style awards took place on thursday january 12. we delivered the music for the pre-party and all the show elements. this years theme was ‘the roaring 20’s’ and all attending dressed up to the occasion, the hype was definitely on. three junior stylists battled for the grande award, maaike staal won this year. her theme was metropolis, so we used parts of the original sound score of fritz lang’s masterpiece, mixed over kraftwerk’s ‘mensch machine’ and ‘metal’. we added the sound of a needle in an old record player to give it that extra vintage touch. winner of the ell personal style award was valentine de hingh, the youngest ever to win this prestigious award. we love valentijn, we love elle magazine, we loved the show and loved the party after.
